On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the pleasure of welcoming a group of young learners from Maarif International Schools, Isa-beg Ishaković Campus.

Accompanied by their English teacher, Ms. Arnela Hajdarević, seven enthusiastic 6th-grade students spent an inspiring day on the IUS campus, filled with creativity, learning, and fun. The visit was organized with the support of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).

The day began with a creative writing workshop led by Ms. Ajla Pervan and Ms. Emina Lagumdžija, lecturers from the English Language and Literature (ELIT) and English Language and Literature, Teaching (ELT) study programs, who encouraged students to let their imagination and storytelling skills shine.

Next, Assoc. Prof. Roman Sulejmanpašić, MFA, from the Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) program, introduced students to the fundamentals of drawing through an interactive, hands-on art workshop.

The visit concluded on an energetic note with basketball activities organized by IUS Wolves Manager Mirnes Mešanović and Mr. Mirza Čengić, a lecturer at the ELIT and ELT study programs, where teamwork and enthusiasm took center stage.

At IUS, we love seeing young minds explore, learn, and create - and we are always proud to collaborate with schools that share our passion for education and innovation.
