Lecturers from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) of the International University of Sarajevo participated remotely in the 5th Istanbul Education Summit, an international education forum held on December 5–6, 2025, and organized by the Turkish Maarif Foundation in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Held under the theme “Healing the World Through Education,” the summit brought together educators, academics, and researchers from around the world to explore current challenges in education and share innovative approaches and best practices shaping the future of learning.

Assistant Professor Nejira Mulahmetović, MA, Vice Dean of FASS, lecturer in Visual Arts and Communication Design (VACD) and Acting Program Coordinator of Media and Communication (MAC), actively participated in the summit sessions. Representing the English Language and Literature (ELIT) study program, Associate Professor Dr. Vesna Suljić, ELIT Program Coordinator, also took part in the discussions, joined by Assistant Professor Dr. Nadira Puškar Mustafić and Dr. Damir Kahrić, both faculty members of the ELIT program.

The summit featured a diverse range of thematic panels addressing topics such as the strategic foundations of educational policy, the social impact of learning, and ways to empower young people to contribute to a more just and equitable future. Participation in this international forum enabled FASS lecturers to engage in meaningful academic dialogue and contributed to their ongoing professional development, reinforcing the faculty’s commitment to excellence in teaching and research.
