ELIT Alumna Ilma Hasić Leads Inspiring Teaching Workshop at IUS

On Monday, December 8, 2025, the English Language and Literature (ELIT) and English Language and Literature, Teaching (ELT) programs organized an inspiring workshop led by Ms. Ilma Hasić, IUS ELIT alumna and devoted EFL teacher. Held within the Teaching Practice course taught by Dr. Emina Jelešković, and open to all interested students, the workshop created a meaningful link between theoretical knowledge and authentic classroom experience.

Drawing on her professional journey, Ilma offered practical insight and guidance for future teachers of English as a foreign language. Students worked through ten real-life classroom situations, exchanging ideas and discussing teaching approaches, problem-solving techniques, and essential skills every educator needs when entering the profession.

A significant portion of the workshop focused on inclusive education. Participants reflected on the challenges teachers face when supporting students with diverse learning needs and explored strategies EFL teachers can implement to ensure equitable access, meaningful engagement, and a supportive learning environment for all students.
